Day 1
Arrival to the Douro Valley
We can arrange transfers from Porto airport to the hotel in the Douro Valley, at a supplement, if required

Day 2
The Douro Senses
First, a visit to the Douro Museum. Learn about the traditions, the people, and the stories that make the Douro valley. After this visit enjoy a Port wine tasting tour.
You will visit a small port wine producer, discover all the beauties of the landscape, the agricultural techniques, and the process of producing Port Wine, told by those who live it daily. And you get to test the Port Wine too!
On this farm, you will have the opportunity to experience the gastronomy of this region, during lunch. The rest of the day is free to experience the colours, sounds, and smells of the Douro Valley.

Day 3
The shapes of time in Douro
In the morning your host and guide you will discover two villages surrounded by the Douro Valley landscape and vineyards. These are villages full of history, of which wine plays the leading role. At the end, you see an ancient monastery that is very well preserved and learn of it’s relationship with the first king of Portugal.
After wards you’ll visit an old property, initially owned by the 1st Viscount of Arneirós. You will visit the winery and taste their wine.
In the afternoon you take a walking tour in Lamego to discover the heritage of this beautiful city, its relationship with the history of Portugal, and the many legends and stories it hides.

Day 4
A voyage in the Douro by boat
Today, on a river boat ride that will allow you to get to know the Douro. On here, you will enjoy one of the most beautiful perspectives of the Douro. You will be surprised at the contrast between the landscape of cultivated farms and the famous Douro cliffs. Two hours of pure delight that will leave you touched.
At the end of this boat trip, you go on to visit another wine production farm, with wine tasting and enjoy a picnic in the middle of the vineyard – a time of pure pleasure and relaxation.
In the afternoon visit a farm that produces olive oil and let Paulo (the owner and host) show you the old olive oil mill and explain how oil was produced in the Douro in the old days. After the tour, you get to taste this golden nectar and some of the wines produced on the farm, on a terrace that has admittedly one of the best views of the Douro Valley.
