Arrival to Évora

Day 2
Évora, an open-air museum
A walking tour of this sunny city – be amazed by the surrounding monuments, and the peaceful squares, the cathedral, the Temple of Diana, the magnificent palaces built by kings, the Gothic and Renaissance churches (like the Chapel of Bones), the city’s premier meeting place.
All the symbolic places of the city carry the passage of time. Discover this paradise full of history, impressive monuments, and many other treasures for you to find!
In the afternoon, discover the traditional tapestry of this region and its beautiful village, Arraiolos. Discover the secrets that make these rugs authentic works of art.

Day 3
A travel to medieval times
In the morning you will be visiting a horse farm. A magnificent and historic farm from the 18th century with a lot of tradition in the world of creating horses where you can touch, feel, and observe the lovely horses that have inhabited this place for more than 260 years. You will learn about the Lusitano Horse – an autochthonous species. This farm also has a falconry that you are invited to visit.
Afterwards, you’ll have an exclusive guide visit to Vila Viçosa. Be impressed by its historical heritage and its profound connection to the history of Portugal deeply linked to Portuguese royalty. Be enchanted by the grandeur of the Ducal Palace built essentially in marble, the beautiful and diverse churches that exist in the town, and the castle.
At night, stargazing in the certified Dark Sky of Alqueva. Discover the skies of this unique region with a huge natural and cultural heritage, accompanied by an astronomy expert.

Day 4
Alentejo’s Flavors
In the morning, make an unforgettable visit to the beautiful Charming Village of Monsaraz. This graceful medieval village retains its former magic like few places in the world. Travel back in time while enjoying this impressive historical village and its amazing landscape.
After that, visit an Alentejo wine production farm and have a delicious picnic for lunch with local gastronomic specialties accompanied by wines from the farm.
During the afternoon, you can blend your own wine – you keep the bottle you have blended! A true experience for your senses, after learning about the different grapes’ varieties.
A day to discover the Alentejo’s best-kept treasures, the typical, regional products, and wine tasting – delightful.
