Start day 1 of your Experience in Milan at the Hotel Sina de la Ville located in the centre of Milan, close to Via Montenapoleone, the Duomo and “La Scala” theatre. Enjoy a night here before you head towards the world famous Piemonte region of Northern Italy.

On day 2 your private car and driver will take you to the Po Valley and the rice fields, the heart of Piemonte. You will stop for lunch at a small artisinal estate where rice is produced; you will enjour a menu composed with rice dishes paired with local wines.

After lunch your driver will take you to Desana where you will have a great view over the rice fields and stop for a quick visit to meet an artisan who specializes in the production of the musical instrument, the Accordion!!

You will then be driven to your Piemonte hotel :the breathtaking Relais Villa d’Amelia, a fully renovated farmhouse with a large garden, a heated swimming pool and overlooking the Piedmont countryside. The Villa has a Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in Italian and Piedmontese dishes, which also serves local Barolo wine.

Full Day Tour to The Langa (9 Hrs)

You will be met by your private sommelier guide and driver to head towards Langa, through the sunny hills, between rocky villages and vines to reach Barolo, the capital of Piedmontese wines. A guided walk of the village will be take place before heading to the wine cellar, one of the oldest cellars of Piedmont where you will feel fully immersed into the world of the red wines; you will then enjoy a tasting followed by a 4 course lunch on the estate.

After lunch you will transfer towards La Morra where you will have a tasting of the most important wine varieties of the Langa area (Roero Arneis DOC, Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo d’Alba) You will then have a short drive towards the small village of Barbaresco to meet the famous producer of the Barbaresco DOCG, “wine of the Queen” and enjoy a tasting before returning back towards your hotel.

Full day Nizza, Mombaruzzo & CanelIi (UNESCO) 9 Hrs

Familiarize yourself with some of the sensory tastes of Piemonte today on a private full-day trip in the company of a local tour guide in the southern Monferrato area, to discover the typical wines such as Asti Spumante (sparkling wine), Moscato d’Asti (sweet wine) and Barbera d’Asti.

Visit to a Barbera d’Asti winery in Nizza, Monferrato. A wine-tasting will follow the visit. Short transfer to Mombaruzzo to visit of the most interesting Grappa Distillery with an underground cave, followed by more tasting! You’ll have the opportunity to visit a local artisan laboratory and taste “amaretti di Mombaruzzo”, one of the most traditional desserts of Piedmont culture. Lunch will be provided at a traditional Agriturismo, allowing you to get a touch of the popular seasonal Monferrato menu, combined with some traditional wines and – one well hidden secret (an unknown wine you will discover and appreciate)

Relax on the transfer to Canelli (approx. 30 mins), the homeland of Asti Spumante , Moscato d’Asti, Italian Methode Champenois and Vermout, capital of the “Wine District” for the large concentration of wineries and of factories producing the Oenologic Wines. Underneath the streets and houses of Canelli there is a wide net of underground tunnels, which for centuries, served as a place for protection and refinery for the wines produced in the nearby hills. The tunnels are a unique site in Italy, so much so that they are currently being considered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Finish off your tour with a visit of one of the so-called “underground cathedrals”; sparkling wine refining cellars of famous historic wineries such as Gancia, Contratto, Bosca, etc followed by wine-tasting. You will then return to your hotel.
