Vienna Jazz Festival

Vienna Jazz Festival is so unique because many performances are held at the world-famous Vienna state Opera House.

There are free concerts at City Hall square, while the program is extensive at Jazzland and on the summer stage by the Danube Canal.

The festival normally runs during the last week of June on the first week of July. Artists such as Jamie Cullum, Bobby McFerrin, Chilly Gonzales and Gilberto Gil played at the festival in 2019. The performance schedule for 2021 will be available from March 2021.

Renowned Drinking & Dining
The Viennese appreciation of the finer things in life extends to its opulent coffee-house ‘living rooms’ serving spectacular cakes; its beloved pub-like Beisln dishing up hearty portions of Wiener schnitzel, Tafelspitz (prime boiled beef) and goulash; elegant restaurants; and its fine Austrian wines served in vaulted Vinothek (wine bar) cellars, and in rustic vine-draped Heurigen (wine taverns) in the vineyards fringing the city.
